JioEV Launches Aries 7.4kW Pro Smart EV Charger With 4G, Wi-Fi and RFID Support

JioEV, the electric vehicle branch of Reliance Jio, has launched a new smart charger in India. The product is named the JioEV Aries 7.4kW Pro Smart AC EV Charger. It costs ₹24,999. JioEV designed this compact wall charger for two main uses: private home garages and shared parking spaces like offices, hotels, or apartment buildings.
Solving Network Problems in Basements
Many electric vehicle (EV) owners face a big problem when they try to charge their cars in underground basement parking. Basements usually have poor mobile phone signals, which stops smart chargers from connecting to the internet. JioEV has solved this issue. The Aries Pro charger can connect to the internet in three ways: using a 4G SIM card, Wi-Fi, or a physical LAN internet cable. By plugging an internet wire directly into the charger, it stays online all the time, even deep underground.
Smart Control and Shared Security
When a charger is installed in a shared area like an apartment complex or office, anyone could try to steal the electricity. To stop this, the JioEV Aries Pro has an RFID card lock. Users must tap their special RFID card on the charger to start the power.
Regular users can also connect the charger to their smartphones using the Jio TruePower app. This app lets people start or stop charging from far away, set automatic charging times when electricity is cheaper, and check daily power logs. For business owners who manage multiple parking spaces, the charger uses a common network system called OCPP 1.6J. This software helps managers track electricity billing, fix technical problems remotely, and handle many chargers from a single central computer screen.
Strong Body and Universal Use
Weather in India can change quickly with heavy rain, heat, and dust. The JioEV Aries Pro is built out of tough industrial materials to survive these changes. It has an IP65 rating, which means it is completely safe from heavy rain and dust storms. It also holds an IK10 impact rating, meaning the outer body will not break if it gets hit by a tool or bumped by a car bumper.
The charger runs on standard single-phase 32A electricity lines, which makes it much faster than the slow emergency cables that come with electric cars. It comes with a long 5-meter thick wire and a universal Type 2 connector pin. This allows the device to charge almost any major electric car sold in India today, including vehicles from Tata Motors, Mahindra, MG India, Hyundai, Kia, and BYD. JioEV is offering a 1-year standard warranty on the product, and customers can buy it now through official Jio websites and authorized stores.
